CQARE — CASLAB Quantum Algorithm Resource Estimator
About: CQARE (pronounced “square”) is a resource estimation service for quantum algorithms developed by the Computer Architecture and Security Lab (CASLAB) at Northwestern University. Given an OpenQASM 2.0 circuit and hardware parameters, CQARE returns circuit-level metrics and surface-code fault-tolerance resource estimates, including physical qubit counts, cycle times, T-gate distillation costs, logical error rates, projected runtimes, and other metrics.
VS Code Extension: A Visual Studio Code extension for CQARE is available from CASLAB. It provides an integrated panel for submitting circuits and viewing resource estimates directly inside the editor.
API Access:
CQARE is accessible via a REST API at /api/v1/estimate.
API keys are issued by the CASLAB team to member organizations.

Membership Structure: In order to sustain development and expansion of the resource estimator, access to the service is based on yearly membership. Companies and individuals can purchase membership which allows them API access. Contact jakub.szefer@northwestern.edu to discuss membership options or to request free trial access.
